This fine mahogany Tiffany mantle clock is one of the largest in this style that we have ever seen.
It measures 29 inches wide and 13.75 inches tall and 8 inches deep. The ends of the case are carved with scroll work, and the front of the clock has inset panels giving the clock an unusually distinguished and impressive look.
This clock's movement is of excellent quality, as expected of a Tiffany & Co. item. With this movement, you have the ability to chose what chime melody you would like it to play on every quarter hour. Westminster on four of its heavy gongs with hammers, or the Carrington on all six gongs with hammers.
This is controlled by the lever on the left hand side of the dial, the lever on the right hand side will silence all chiming if so desired (e.g. during night or sleeping hours).
The silvered dial with solid brass numerals is in good condition with some wear evident around the winding hole. A heavy piece of beveled glass with solid brass bezel covers the dial.
